How to Deal with Being Single on Valentines Day

If you don't want to find yourself on the couch crying over "The Notebook" or "He's Just Not that Into You" and wondering why you don't have a Ryan Gosling in your life then follow some of the tips I've created for this Valentines and watch the video below.

1. Get some of your friends together and go eat dinner or watch a movie (or both).

2. Stay home, paint your nails, buy some chocolate for yourself and watch a marathon of How I Met your Mother and remember that someday you'll find your own Ted Moseby.

3. Go bowling. Why? 'Cause it's fun, that's why.

4. Don't wallow in your pity because Valentines day is lame and is not worth being sad over.

Warby Parker At Home Try on Review

As promised in my last post, here is my video review of the company Warby Parker (go check it out! it's awesome!). I really recommend trying this company out because what other online company will actually allow you try their glasses on before you have to make a decision? And if you have bought glasses before you know that they aren't cheap, so being able to actually try them on and see which ones you like the best is a major plus.

And as mentioned in the video, if you buy a pair of glasses you're essentially buying two because the second pair goes to a person in need and how cool is that?

I also mentioned in the video that I will be doing a final review when I finally receive the glasses with the prescription in them, so make sure you are looking out for that in the next few weeks!

I love this bag so much because 1. I love polka dots and 2. I love Kate Spade and this looks like one of the bags in her collection but way cheaper so go check it out because I have a feeling they won't last very long in stores.

Also, did you notice my glasses? They're from the company Warby Parker and I love them, so check their website out (I'll also have a video up about it within the next few days). The style I have is called 'Bensen' and the color is in Whiskey Tortoise.

Fashion Inspiration: New Years Eve Edition

I have been stuck in bed for the past 7 hours with some weird virus type thing so I decided to do a "Fashion Inspiration: NYE edition" for y'all, and without spending too much money because I know, at least for me (since I'm a poor college student), that it is difficult to justify spending so much money on a dress that you might only wear once so here are some of the dresses that I'm getting my inspiration from this year ~

Forever 21:

Get this for $15.80 here

 I would pair this with black tights, a sequined blazer, and shoes like these

 I would pair this with a metallic belt, lace tights and gold heels

You can get this for $14.50 here

This is a more "casual" NYE dress, so I would pair this with either a jean jacket or leather jacket, and combat boots like these (if you're going for a more rocker chic look this year)

 I would pair this with brightly colored pumps and a contrast color clutch (think red and purple or something similar).

mac + jac Jacquard dress for $30 here

This is honestly my favorite out of all these dresses because it is just so different because of the "reptile print". I would pair this with brightly colored tights (like shown in the picture) and either a black heel or studded wedge.

Get this here for $24.99

I really dig this dress as well, it's one of those dresses that you could dress up or down and can be worn multiple times. I would pair this with a thin belt, black sheer tights, and metallic heels. 

 That's it! I hope this post was helpful to you while you try to figure out what to wear New Years Eve night, and I hope that if you aren't able to get these particular dresses that these at least gave you a little bit of inspiration!

Today's outfit is pretty laid-back because I had to work this morning and didn't want to make too much effort (I'm just lazy) since I know I'll be dressing up for Christmas eve and then again on Christmas, so I'm basically saving my energy (that's justifiable, right?). Speaking of Christmas... how crazy is it that it's 2 days away? I feel like just yesterday it was the beginning of Fall and now Christmas is super near which means 2012 is almost gone too. Craziness.

I'm super happy to be posting again because now I am done with this semester! Finally! I feel like these past 4 months have been the longest months of my life and I'm so glad I finally have some free time to blog more and not think about school for a little while. It's going to be amazing, so make sure you're watching out for new posts from me because I'm planning on some fun stuff in the next few weeks.

Today I decided to pull out these ridiculously bright hot pink tights because I was in the mood for brightening up this pretty dreary day, and what better way to do that than to wear bright clothing, right? Especially when it is nearing Winter since all that black and gray can get pretty underwhelming and wearing bright clothes is just more fun in general :)
