What I'm Loving (November)

What I'm Loving (November)

What I'm Loving (November) by simplyme93 on Polyvore.com

1. Vera Wang Princess - I love this scent, very sweet and feminine with hints of vanilla, water lily, and lady apple, just to name a few, oh, and the scent description also says it has a hint of pink frosting. What's not to love about that?

2.  Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula lotion - Contains Vitamin E and heals rough dry skin... which is super important for me especially in the winter, because my skin gets really dry. Also, this smells like some delicious dessert, it's really lovely. I put this all over my face, neck, elbows, and hands before I go to sleep. This really works for me.

3. NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils - They come in a wide range of colors and are so great for color bases for your eye lids.

4. O.P.I - I love this brand of nail polish! the brush is wide so that it covers your nail in only 3 swipes and the staying power is really long-lasting. Specific color is "Glitzerland"

5. EOS Sphere - I love love love this product! So great for Fall/Winter months to keep your lips smooth, and it's all natural, which means it doesn't contain any parabens. I will do a more in-depth review sometime in the near future.

6.  MAC Blushes - The specific color shown is "Breezy", I especially love this color for Fall & Winter because it gives a great color that is great for that pop of color in the cold months. Also, MAC blushes are very smooth and apply amazingly.

7. Benefit High Beam - Gives your cheek bones and under the brow bone a really nice glow

8. Revlon Lip Gloss - Goes on smoothly with a sponge-tip applicator, with really great colors. My personal favorites are "Lilac Pastelle" and "Nude Lustre".

9. Stila Pro- Artists Palette No. 1 - Read my in-depth review here on my blog. http://simplyme93.blogspot.com/2010/11/stila-pro-palette.html

10. Benefit Hoola Bronzer - A lovely matte bronzer that works really well, and is amazing especially for winter months, especially since I'm so pale to begin with.

11. MAC's Blacktrack Fluidline - MAC's black gel liner is, in one word, amazing. It's really creamy and goes on smoothly, great for winged-liner.

12. Dark Purple Nail Polish -  I think dark purple polish looks edgy and pretty without being overpowering like a black polish, the specific color I'm really liking is "First Class Ticket" by China Glaze.

This past week my sister Kristin was here with her family for Thanksgiving, so we got together with my other sister Rebekah and had a girls night! I wanted to do their makeup, and they kindly let me =)

I went with a super natural looks for both of them, since they're so beautiful anyway! Here are the pics:

NYX Lipsticks

NYX Cosmetics company is one of the best companies to go to if you're looking for great quality products with really great prices. Their brand is certified Cruelty free and hypoallergenic.

NYX's round lipsticks offer a super wide range of colors, and are very affordable as well, ranging from $2.50-$4.00 depending on where you buy them.

From Left to Right: Eros, Doll, Tea Rose, Frappucino, Indian Pink, Ceto

From Left to Right: Harmonica, Flower, Louisiana, Narcissus, Paris

Those swatches are just of the ones I own, there are many more. You can find these lipsticks at nyxcosmetics.com  or cherryculture.com. I found mine in a Ulta store. I would suggest, if you want to purchase these online, to google a specific color in images, because often times the color swatches in  the online stores are not accurate. And one last thing, sometimes you can get very good deals on Nyx cosmetics in Ulta, because they often have buy one get one half off or buy 2 and get one free, you just have to keep an eye out for those types of deals.

Stila Pro Palette

Stila's Pro Artists Palette no. 1 is a really great palette. It has really pretty and pigmented colors, and is also the perfect palette for traveling or for just using everyday. The palette includes six colors, the first four colors being really great neutral colors and the last two are bright and more fun, something that you could wear out at night or to a party, or if you just want to switch up your everyday makeup routine. Stila does not test ingredients or finalized products on animals, which makes this palette even more awesome.

From Left to Right: Moxie, Lucky, Grand, Kitten
Sparkle, Prize

The only con I would point out about this product is the packaging. It is paper packaging, which normally wouldn't bother me, but this palette is hard to open and close and I feel like I might accidentally rip it, because you have to try and get the top flap tucked into the black strip that has "Stila" printed on it. But if you get past that aspect, the colors are totally worth it. I got my palette for $28 at Ulta, but they are now selling it for $19 at Stila.com ( http://www.stilacosmetics.com/product_detail.asp?PMID=761&dept=8&cat=37 ) and Sephora.com ( http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P261622&shouldPaginate=true&categoryId=3865 ).

Mascara Tip

Don't you hate it when you're applying mascara and tiny little dots get on your lid and even under your eye? Most of the time your initial reaction is to rub it away quickly so that it doesn't dry and ruin your makeup, but often times, if you rub away the still wet flecks of mascara you are also rubbing away the eyeshadow, which ruins all the hard work you put in to making your eyeshadow look nice. So, here's a really easy and great tip:

First, whatever you do, do not try to rub away the wet mascara flecks. Wait until the mascara is completely dry. In the meantime you can finish doing your mascara. Then, take a cotton swab and gently swipe away the flecks. Simple as that.

I thought I would do a review on a nail polish I'm currently loving and wearing at this moment =)

Glitzerland (I love this name, that was one of the main reasons I actually bought it) by O.P.I is a nail lacquer from their Swiss Fall/Winter Collection, it was the only polish I was really interested in when the whole collection came out.

I'm normally not the type of girl to like really gaudy gold things, especially nail polish, I hate chunky gold glitter nail polishes, but this one is definitely different. First of all, the glitter in the polish is very fine and not chunky at all. Second, the color isn't as flashy and bright as some other gold polishes, it is more subtle. And lastly, third, I just love the name... okay, I admit, that's a pretty ridiculous reason to buy a nail polish. But, O.P.I comes up with some of the coolest names for their polishes and in this case I thought to color was interesting as well.

You can find O.P.I nail lacquers at Ulta. They usually run from $8.50 each.
