I'm kinda obsessed with these tights... I got them on Black Friday because Urban Outfitters always has 50% off their already on sale stuff so they were pretty cheap (you can find some similar here), but they're good quality and that's always a major plus with tights because they can rip soo easily if you get cheap quality.

Anyway, I hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving and black Friday! I love this time of year so much, especially now that I can play Christmas music 24/7 and watch Home Alone and A Christmas Story over and over :)

Peplum & Lace

I love the peplum trend for this Fall, I think it is so classy and the lines are beautiful so I've been on the look-out for something peplum for a while that looked good and didn't cost a ton so when I mom found this at JCP I was super excited about it.

By the way, have y'all noticed that JC Penny's has gotten significantly better? I used to not like it very much because the selections weren't very good and the clothes weren't good quality but now they have stepped it up a little bit and have updated their trends and the quality. And who doesn't love that?

Two Toned Lips Inspired by Nasty Gal's Blog

My sister in-law Esther sent me link to Nasty Gal's blog post featuring "Two-Toned Lips," which you can check out here. 

My version is definitely different from the blog post, but I wanted to do something super wearable (and cheaper) that people wouldn't be afraid to do.

For the top lip I chose Nyx's lipstick in Narcissus which is a super pretty bubblegum pink color ~ you can find this color here.

And for the bottom lip I took Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain (I did a review on these that you can watch here) in the color Lovesick ~ you can find it here.

I did the bottom lip first, but I don't imagine it would matter which order you went in.After I applied both colors I blotted excess lipstick/balm and voila! Wearable two-toned lips.

P.S. Keep in mind that the two colors will probably mix with each other throughout the day, so make sure you have both colors handy to do touch-ups!

I have a slight obsession with chevron print (if you couldn't tell from the background of this blog) and I have been on the look out for a top something like this for a while now, so when I finally found it at Target (duh. I have an obsession with shopping  there too) I kinda had to get it you know? And it was on sale, so that's practically a no-brainer.

I wore this this past Wednesday for my impromptu speech in my public speaking class and I'm just now getting around to posting it (thus my life as a college student). I'm actually loving this class which is awesome because I had a speech class in high school that I hated, but this one is great and really preparing me for what I want to do as a career, and that is always a good thing, right?

Lately: Loves and Dislikes

Just a few things I've been digging and other things I haven't ~

Loves:

1. PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES - well, I mean, if you could tell from the all caps, these are a big deal. It doesn't feel officially like Fall if I haven't had one of these. I'm not a huge fan of Starbucks, so I like getting these at one of my local coffee shops or making them myself with tons of cinnamon on top.

2. Being done with huge exams - Cannot express how much better I feel after taking a exam... I just feel happy to be done with them, and then I suddenly feel like I have more free time. Anyone else feel like that?

3. Pumpkin... anything - really loving these soy "Heritage Pumpkin" candles from Target

4. MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection - Love this collection. I've been hyping about it for a while but last week I tried to order a few things and the lipsticks were all sold out, but I did end up getting the Legendary blush which is amazing

5. Daily Grace - Um. Amazing. If you don't already watch her videos on YouTube, do it because she's hilarious.

Dislikes:

1. MAC collections disappearing too quickly - I really wanted the Marilyn Monroe lipstick colors in Charmed, I'm Sure and Love Goddess. They are amazing, but I had to work when they were released in my Nordstrom and of course they sold out online ridiculously fast, so I'm super sad that I wasn't able to get them.

2. Confusing math teachers - What in the world. Math is already confusing as it it, why did I get stuck with the most confusing teacher ever? I can watch a 7 minute youtube video about a probability and understand it better than sitting in my class for 2 hours twice a week.

3. Colds - I was fighting one all week and now it's full blown. Colds always make me feel miserable and disgusting, and knowing me it'll most likely take like 2 - 3 weeks to actually fully get over it which is no fun.
